I have been a fitness enthusiast my entire life and am passionate about assisting and motivating others to live healthy and happy lives in mind, body and spirit. I am a Personal Trainer and teach group exercise classes. My love of fitness led me to yoga and, in 2001, I completed an initial 100 hr yoga certification course. I have been teaching and practicing yoga on and off since.
In 2010 I found my way to Jane’s House and completed the 200 hr teacher training program in 2011 under the guidance of Robin Buck. I continue to deepen my experience and practice of yoga and completed the 300 hr Advanced Studies program at Circle Yoga Shala under the guidance of Matthew and Holly Krepps in 2013 and completed the Perfect Health Ayurvedic Lifestyle program certification at the Chopra Center in August 2015. I have had the privilege to sit with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Thich Nhat Hanh and have offered numerous informational talks and introductory mindfulness sessions as a way to share and practice these mind-body teachings that have been so beneficial and healing for me with others. Every moment of every day is an opportunity to practice…an opportunity to see with compassionate, nonjudgmental awareness what is real and happening in the moment. Yoga and mindfulness lead you back to the breath and back to the body--two primary anchors to the present moment, to living fully alive in each and every moment. I love to share the gifts of yoga and mindfulness with others as we are all on this amazing journey together…this journey of self-remembering and coming home to ourselves. The more we practice and self-remember on the mat, the more the benefits spill into our lives off the mat and we can really take in and savor all life has to offer.
