Yoga Studio

Are you new to yoga? Not sure where to start?

Whether you are brand new to yoga, or are returning to yoga after a break, you are in the right place. Here at Jane’s House, we have several starting points to offer you that are carefully crafted to help you start yoga, develop the fundamental skills to feel successful, and most importantly, to have fun!

  • Are you new to yoga? Returning to yoga after time away? Ready to revisit or fine-tune the basics in your yoga practice? Then this series is for you!

    Join Christy to focus on the foundation of yoga practice including awareness, breath and alignment. The series aims to teach you basic tools for a good foundation that will carry you into the next stage of your yoga practice.

    Each class will set aside time for in-depth instruction and questions and answers in addition to practicing yoga postures. We will cover how to access and activate muscles to support you in yoga postures so that they feel stable. We will also cover how to practice postures in a way that will challenge you while allowing for ease.

    September Series

  • This class builds from the "Introduction to Hatha Yoga" series and is designed to meet the basic needs for beginning a yoga practice. This can be an ideal entry point for new students or a great refresher for anyone. The instructors use a consistent language that supports a practice of self-inquiry. At the heart of every class taught in this studio, is an invitation to watch yourself being present in both movement and stillness. Emphasis is on technique, linking movement to breath and focusing attention.

    Level: Beginner

  • Whether you are brand new to yoga, recovering from an injury, or interested in advancing your established personal practice, private yoga offers an opportunity for you to receive personalized attention tailored to your unique needs. Enjoy one-on-one education and guidance every step of the way on your schedule. Most importantly, deepen your connection with yourself.

Twist Yoga Pose

Are you looking for classes that offer more support?

Whether you are new to yoga or are looking for a class that offers more support, these classes will guide you on your wellness journey.

  • This class is designed for students who are seeking little effort in the practice. The majority of the postures are close to the floor, such as supine, side and prone. The class is also ideal for those who may be coming off of recent surgery or preparing for surgery and need modifications, the use of a chair or more support.

    Level: Beginner

  • Yin Yoga has the same goals and objectives as any other school of yoga; however, it directs the stimulation normally created in the asana portion of the practice deeper into the tissues. Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints. Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.

    Level: Beginner

  • Chair Yoga is an accessible class for anyone who would feel more stable with balance with the assistance of a chair. It is also for students that do not feel comfortable and stable in their bodies transferring to and from the floor up to standing. Some of this class is taught while students are seated comfortably on their chair with some standing behind the chair if that is what is desired.​

  • Prenatal Yoga is a beautiful way to support both mom and baby in this growing process. The classes are designed to prepare for the birthing process by teaching breathwork, strengthening, stretching and deep relaxation. The group classes are beneficial for moms to connect during this time of pregnancy to build a community of support for one another. This class is open to all stages of pregnancy.

Plank Pose Yoga

Are you ready to elevate your practice?

The aim of yoga is to be stable and at ease within your body and mind, no matter what posture you are in. If your desire is to explore more challenging experiences, these classes will offer it for you.

  • This practice is accessible for students of all-levels. The class is designed to teach core actions that structurally opens and supports the body. The instructors use concise language to support learning for new students and reinforce understanding for continuing students. It offers the support and modifications needed for a beginning student, while giving those who seek more challenge or longer holds an equal experience. This is the next step up from Yoga for Beginners.

    Level 1

  • This class reinforces and refines the actions taught in the beginning level practice. It offers a wider variety of movements that challenge the students in new ways. More complex spinal movements and physical effort are added. The invitation to be open and honest will support you at the juncture where effort brings to light a challenge. It is here where you can search for the right actions to balance the intensity that manifests joyful steadiness, in body, breath and mind. This class is open to experienced beginner and continuing students. This is the next step up from All Levels.

    Level 2

  • This class will explore the complexities of more advanced asanas. Expand your practice and limitations with a fun and non-competitive atmosphere. The teacher will introduce more challenging moving and static postures and sequencing, to build upon what you have cultivated from prior training. Postures that are more complex are instructed and refined at this level. This is the next step from Intermediate Practice. It is not recommended for students who need modification for recent injury.

    Level 3

  • Buti ® Yoga blends yoga with cardio-intensive dance and intentional dynamic movement along with upbeat music to create a fun, well-rounded workout! This class isn't just about burning calories - it's a chance to release stuck energy and reconnect with yourself to build connection, confidence and freedom. I invite you to meet me on the mat to get out of your head and into your body!

Do you desire restoration & meditation?

Many of us spend our time meeting demands from outside forces, which requires energy and precious resources. The following classes offer an experience of inward silence and restful retreat.

  • Move beyond the physical in this weekly practice where each class weaves together timeless yogic philosophy, mindful movement, and meditation. Wisdom in Motion offers a sacred space to explore yoga's rich teachings through direct experience. Join Joe every Monday at 7pm on this journey of self-discovery, where every movement becomes a meditation, every breath an exploration, and every contemplative practice an opportunity to embody timeless wisdom in motion. Mondays at 7pm.

    Level: 1

  • This unique class seamlessly blends the physical practice of asana with the transformative power of yogic breathing and mantras, offering a holistic approach to wellness and inner peace. This class will leave you feeling rejuvenated, centered, and deeply connected to your inner self. All are welcome, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Join Vinotha to discover how the synergy of movement and sound can create profound harmony in your body, mind, and spirit.

  • Combine the gentle relief of nerve flossing with the deep rest of restorative yoga. Nerve flossing, also known as neural gliding, uses gentle, guided movements to mobilize the nerves and relieve pain and tension throughout the body. The class begins with nerve flossing techniques designed to calm the nervous system and release built-up stress, then transitions into a supported restorative yoga practice to promote deeper relaxation. Explore soothing practices that target areas of tension in the shoulders, neck, hips, and back. This class is gentle, accessible, and safe for all bodies. Offered the 1st Sunday of each month.

  • How you breathe is how you live! Be guided through various breathwork exercises to help open up your breathing capacity, eventually falling into an activated Conscious Connected Breathing circuit. This breathing pattern helps unwind deep tensions, patterns, and habits held in the body for years, allowing you to release what is no longer needed and live a more meaningful, fulfilling life. You will also learn breathing exercises they can practice daily to achieve better health, produce profound relaxation, and increase mental focus. The session closes with an intentionally guided sound healing practice to better integrate your journey. No prior experience needed to attend; all are welcome. Offered the 2nd Sunday of the month.

  • Each class uses Restorative Postures to support and open the body. A restorative yoga practice can lead toward a more healing and recuperative experience and offers a host of wonderful benefits especially for one with chronic stress.

    A restorative practice frequently relies on the use of props and the prolonged holding of a few simple poses to achieve a deep level of relaxation. Teresa combines Yoga Nidra with this restorative practice. Offered the 3rd Sunday of each month.

  • The purpose of meditation is for personal transformation, becoming a more conscious, peaceful and empowered human being. It is the experience of watching the functioning of your own mind in a calm manner so you can gain insight into your own behavior.

    Join Joe Marquez on the 2nd Sunday each month 4-5:15pm for a focus on the Inner Limbs of Yoga. Each class will use some movement to prepare for sitting. Monthly classes will introduce you to a pranayama or Kriya and offer both an instrumental and Insight Meditation.

  • This class begins with soft tissue rolling and is combined with easy movements to connect you to your body and breath. The class ends with the nurturing experience of restorative postures that will connect you to the more subtle realms of your being.

Join Andrea for a 45-minute beginner yoga class created for children ages 8~13. Our class is focused on yoga and mindfulness to improve both physical and mental health. Yoga improves balance, strength, endurance, and mindfulness. Children 5-7 years old are welcome to join when accompanied by an adult.

    Private yoga provides focused attention, allowing for customized modifications, hands-on adjustments, and dedicated time to ask questions and explore the practice in a safe, nurturing environment. The teacher creates a tailored sequence, often with a plan to practice at home, fostering greater progress and a stronger mind-body connection.

  • Stressful lifestyles, changes in hormones, diet, and aging all can contribute to imbalances in the body and mind. Ayurveda’s aim is to understand how these imbalances start, and how to use dietary guidelines, daily morning and evening routines, relaxation techniques, and rejuvenation/detoxification therapies to treat a wide range of imbalances through natural medicine. An Ayurvedic consultation is both educational and healing for physical health and mental wellness, and can offer a deeper connection to conscious awareness. The ideal goal for a consultation is to apply the wisdom of Ayurveda to experience your well-being and maintain a state of balance.

    While Ayurveda is universal, the treatment is highly personalized. Each client consultation follows the same guidelines, but your assessment and plan are entirely customized for you.

  • Private Yin Yoga & Hypnosis is a 90-minute deeply relaxing and transformative journey for small, intimate groups of 3 to 6 people. Combining the calming power of Yin Yoga with the mind-opening effects of hypnosis, this experience is designed to help you release old patterns, cultivate new habits, and embrace lasting, positive change.

    Gather a few friends and customize a session tailored just for you.

    Each session begins with a brief chat to explore your goals, followed by a soothing Yin Yoga practice to release tension from the body and calm the mind. Afterward, experience a deep hypnosis session that opens the door to your subconscious, helping you shed stress and invite calm. Each practice closes with time for journaling and sharing any personal breakthroughs.

    Matt Dickson is an RYT 500 and Clinical Hypnotherapist certified by the International Board of Coaches and Practitioners. This experience is available for an investment of $240, covering up to 6 participants.
