Scholarship Program

Nurturing New Teachers

An Invitation to Give

At Jane’s House, we believe in the ripple effect of yoga education. When we support one aspiring teacher on their journey, countless future students benefit from their guidance. Our Scholarship Program makes teacher training accessible to dedicated practitioners who bring diverse perspectives and talents to our yoga community, but face financial barriers. Many of our most beloved teachers first came to us as scholarship recipients, and they may never have had the opportunity to share their unique gifts without community support.

Generosity and Gratitude

When you focus on being a blessing, you are always blessed in abundance.

There is a transformative power in the spirit of generosity that transcends transactional giving, where the focus is placed on keeping score: giving with an expectation to receive something in return, and taking with the obligation of giving back.

True generosity flows differently. When we offer, we endow joyfully, without expecting anything back. And when we receive, we accept graciously, without obligation to return the favor.

The gifts are the gratitude we experience when we receive and the generosity we feel when we offer.

Our Scholarship Program expresses this spirit of offering and receiving for the pure joy of experiencing the exchange, as this cycle of abundance creates space for dedicated practitioners to become yoga teachers not through transaction, but through the joy of supporting another's growth. The spirit of generosity creates a bridge between potential and possibility, helping dedicated practitioners become skilled, compassionate teachers.

The Circle of Giving

Every contribution to our Scholarship Program directly supports passionate teachers who dream of sharing the transformative power of yoga with others. Supporting our program strengthens our entire community in numerous ways by:

  • Empowering diverse voices to bring yoga to underrepresented communities.

  • Enriching our teaching community with varied perspectives and approaches.

  • Creating accessibility for passionate practitioners facing financial barriers.

  • Extending the reach of yoga's healing benefits beyond our studio walls.

Each scholarship recipient, in turn, commits to both their training and giving back to our community, creating a sustainable cycle of learning, teaching, and service.

Stories of Impact

I have received many blessings of generosity and support from the community at Jane’s House, and this experience taught me the true meaning of gratitude. To me, gratitude is an experience that allows receiving without expectations of having to reciprocate. The generosity of this community helped me develop the capacity to gracefully embrace the gifts shared with me as an act that honored my worthiness. More importantly, this exchange inspired a heartfelt desire to experience my own generosity of spirit, and give back to Jane’s House, pay it forward.

  • Sponsor a teacher: Fund a specific portion of someone's training

  • Honor a teacher: Make a contribution in honor of a teacher who has impacted your practice

When gratitude and contentment for what we have been given becomes a consistent practice, we, in turn, begin to give of ourselves generously. Generous giving then leads to living in alignment with cosmic order, as a space of boundless generosity creates abundance for all beings. To be blessed in this way is to always have the means to give, no matter what, and to be of endless service to the world.
