Pelvic Floor Series with Kenzie

Saturdays, 3-week series, May 4, 11 & 18 at 10:30am

The muscles of the pelvic floor support unique functions of the urinary, reproductive, and gastrointestinal system, while providing stability for the spine, core, trunk, and diaphragm. They work with the surrounding muscles to maintain intra-abdominal pressure - the key to preventing things like back pain, prolapse, leaks, and other issues. Equally important to strengthening these muscles is learning to lengthen and relax them.

In this series, you will learn to use your whole body to bring more awareness to the pelvic floor and surrounding muscles, with an emphasis on using breath and posture practice to engage, relax, and lengthen the muscles to get the pelvic floor working in harmony with the rest of your body. Join Kenzie if you are pregnant, recovering from birth or surgery, or if you want to build awareness around the pelvic floor muscles. This series will also help address pain around the low back, hips, and tailbone.

Cost: $45 or $15 drop-in

Shamanic Journey

Saturday, May 18, 6-8 pm

Mark Biehl presents a dynamic and compelling sound journey to release, inspire, and deeply restore body, mind, and spirit. Featuring Chiron planetary gong, Shamanic drumming, and Himalayan Jambati singing bowls, Spirit Sound Vision will guide you through an essential cleansing, visionary, and restorative experience.

Spirit Sound Vision begins with an immersive sound bath featuring Chiron, a 32” planetary gong, to break up and release negative energy and blockages. Named after the father of medical art in Greek mythology, Chiron symbolizes the transformative power of self-healing in us all. The experience then seamlessly flows into sacred sound with native drumming. Drawing upon earth energy and spiritual guidance, we are led through a powerful Shamanic drum journey to discover greater understanding and wisdom in our personal lives. The session concludes in a lengthy sound meditation with the largest of Mark’s singing bowls. Using only large Himalayan Jambati bowls, the intense low frequency vibrations promote deep grounding and restoration.

Please bring your own yoga mat, blanket, pillow, and eye covering (optional). Dress comfortably and bring some water to drink. It's preferable not to eat for an hour prior. Register early to secure your space!
