Introduction to Pelvic Floor Health with Kenzie & Brooke

Saturday, January 31, 10:30a-12:30p

Join Brooke, a pelvic floor physical therapist, and Kenzie, a yoga teacher specializing in pelvic health, for an educational workshop that offers a clear, approachable introduction to how the pelvic floor functions.  You will learn basic pelvic floor anatomy, common dysfunctions, and what pelvic floor physical therapy looks like. 

Brooke will share a presentation about the pelvic floor and physical therapy, as well as a guided self-assessment questionnaire and take-home resources.  Kenzie will take you through breathwork and a yoga practice to help bring awareness to, as well as strengthen, lengthen, and relax the pelvic floor.

This workshop is ideal for anyone seeking to better understand pelvic health and explore practical tools for long-term support; and open to all bodies and life stages, especially for those who are pregnant, postpartum, or navigating perimenopause and menopause.

Restore Your Nervous System with Kenzie

Nerve Flossing & Restorative Yoga

Combine the gentle relief of nerve flossing with the deep rest of restorative yoga. Nerve flossing —also known as neural gliding— uses gentle, guided movements to mobilize the nerves and relieve pain and tension throughout the body. The class begins with nerve flossing techniques designed to calm the nervous system and release built-up stress, then transitions into a supported restorative yoga practice to promote deeper relaxation. Join Kenzie to explore soothing practices that target areas of tension in the shoulders, neck, hips, and back. This class is gentle, accessible, and safe for all bodies.

A Monthly ONLINE Study & Sharing Series

Roll, Floss, & Restore with Kenzie

Myofascial Release, Nerve Flossing, & Restorative Yoga

This special class is designed to ground your body, calm your mind, and reconnect with yourself. Begin with myofascial release using massage balls and foam rollers to soften tight muscles and create space in the body, followed by gentle nerve flossing techniques to stimulate and reset the nervous system. The practice will close with deep, supported restorative yoga, inviting full-body relaxation and nervous system regulation. Perfect for anyone needing a moment to breathe, reset, and return to center. No experience necessary. All bodies welcome. Props provided.

Introduction to Pelvic Floor Yoga with Kenzie

Three-Week Introductory Series

Building on the foundations shared in the Introduction to Pelvic Floor Health workshop, this three-week introductory series to Pelvic Floor Yoga is designed to help you explore how to develop awareness, coordination, and functional strength in the pelvic floor through progressive, accessible yoga practices, while supporting the whole body.  Each class combines education, breathwork, and mindful movement to help you better understand how the pelvic floor responds to daily life, exercise, aging, and hormonal changes.

This series is progressive - with a different focus each week - and attendance to all three classes is strongly encouraged!

Week 1: Awareness & Breath

Week 2: Strength, Support & Functional Movement

Week 3: Integration, Resilience & Long-term Care

This series is appropriate for all bodies and life stages, especially prenatal and postnatal individuals; those navigating perimenopause and menopause; and anyone seeking a safe, more informed approach to movement. Join us for Connect with Compassion, a conscious communication practice based on the principles developed by Marshall Rosenberg. If you are new, come learn and practice skills that will bring your communication to life. If you are experienced, deepen your own practice and share your experience with others.

We will be using Marshall Rosenberg’s book Nonviolent Communication: A Language for Life as our text for study and practice. Our aim is to cover the book together, one chapter at every class. Although it is ideal to study each chapter in sequence, you are free to participate as and when you can.

Curious about Ayurveda and how simple herbs can support your health? Join Kateland for an immersive workshop exploring three of Ayurveda’s most common herbs: Cumin, Coriander, and Fennel (CCF).

This workshop will explore the ancient wisdom behind these everyday kitchen spices and uncover how they support balance within the body. Students will learn the unique qualities and health benefits of each herb, how they work individually and together, and why they are staples in Ayurvedic healing. You will also have the chance to smell, taste, and sample each herb, as well as enjoy a cup of CCF tea. Kateland will share simple, practical ways to use CCF in daily life, including as a digestive tea or a food spice blend to support overall wellness.  Everyone will receive their own CCF blend to take home!

Join Christy to focus on the foundation of yoga practice including awareness, breath and alignment. The series aims to teach you basic tools for a good foundation that will carry you into the next stage of your yoga practice.

Each class will set aside time for in-depth instruction and questions and answers in addition to practicing yoga postures. We will cover how to access and activate muscles to support you in yoga postures so that they feel stable. Thai Massage with Jonathan

Thai Massage is an ancient healing modality with movements that resemble passive yoga. It consists of muscular compressions, stretching and joint mobilization. It is performed on a futon mat while wearing comfortable clothing. It can reduce stress, improve circulation, flexibility, & range of motion, center your mind & body, and release blocked or stagnant energy as well as stiff muscles. It is relaxing and therapeutic.

90 minutes, $120

Thai Herbal Poultice Massage is a one-hour, deep heat medicinal muscle treatment where warm herbal compresses filled with organic herbs are steamed and applied directly to the body with a variety of massage techniques. The body absorbs the heat combined with the organic herbs to help reduce aches and pains, stimulate circulation, increase lymphatic drainage, and detoxify and condition the skin. This treatment can also alleviate sore muscles, back and joint pain, as well as reduce stress and increase energy. After the session, you’ll take your two, larger herbal poultices home with instructions on how to continue to use them at home for several more weeks. If you like a hot stone massage, you will love a Thai Herbal Poultice Massage!
