Reflexology with Robin
“Know that all healing forces are within, not without! The applications from without are merely to create within a coordinating mental and spiritual force.”
— Edgar Cayce
About Reflexology
Reflexology has been practiced as an art and science for over 5,000 years. The tradition dates back to ancient China, India and Egypt, where it evolved as an integral component of mainstream health care.
Reflexology is using authentic anatomical knowledge in combination with skillful hand work, applying deep and light pressure over the complex nerve-ending network of the feet, hands, face & ears.
From a purely anatomical viewpoint, each foot and hand have multiples joints and are innervated by thousands of nerves. By using specific reflexology techniques, one directly affects the nervous system in a very positive way. When the body is relaxed, and the nervous system stimulated healing has a perfect opportunity to take place. Healing comes from the inside out. This modality of healing supports feelings of deep relaxation, stability, and grounding as well as feelings of vitality and energy flow.
When there is stagnation of the vital life force in the body, it is felt as pain, stiffness, or weakness. When there is free flow of vital life force in the body, it is felt as pleasure, agility and strength.
Reflexology does not diagnose or prescribe for illness; it aims to induce a sense of calm within the mind-body and promote an overall feeling of well-being.

The origin of Reflexology goes back to ancient Egypt as evidenced by inscriptions found in the physician’s tomb at Saqqara in Egypt.
The translation of the hieroglyphics found there reads as follows: "Don’t hurt me."
The practitioner’s reply: -"I shall act so you praise me."
