Transformational Education

“We do not see things as they are; we see them as we are.”

Transformation

“A marked change, as in appearance or character, usually for the better.”

Transformation is a process. In the Yoga tradition it is a discipline that requires a willingness to undergo the right amount of fire (tapas) in order to change. It looks more like letting go of the things that stand in the way of your authentic self and becoming a truer version of YOU!

Being on the path of Yoga requires first, learning how to be a student. The greatest teacher is your own yoga practice. The ability to self-observe, meaning the ability to be with your thoughts, emotions and physical sensations, is the entry point to self-transformation. In order for anything to change, it first must be seen.

What You Are Seeking?

To pass along the teachings in their purest form, requires each one of us as teachers to undergo a process of personal transformation.

A willingness to assume a beginner’s mind, means that there is space for new information to root. In order to see, we must learn how to be seen.

The 200hr Registered Teacher Training Program at Jane’s House is offered with great care and built from being in relationship with one another.

It is called a Transformational Education Program because who you are when you leave, will look different than who you were when you began. We like to say, “a truer version of yourself.”

Are you ready to be seen?

Are you hungry for more?

When you have dedicated time working with students and you feel hungry for more… we welcome you to the advanced studies.

Do you want to deepen your practice and teaching experience?

The 300hr Teacher Training Program at Jane’s House is offered with great care and builds beautifully on top of the 200hr training to complete the 500hr certification.

We teach what we embody. This requires “living your yoga.”

It is called a Transformational Education Program because the timeless teachings support the process of dismantling old conditioning to reveal the truth of your being. And again, who you are when you leave, will look different than who you were when you began. We like to say, “an even truer version of yourself.”

What graduates have to share from their experience….

“Jane's House 200-hour YTT is simply life giving. The program is beautifully and thoughtfully developed with full intention to support the truest meaning of Yoga and self discovery for those who are willing. This specific group of gifted teacher trainers have an amazing ability to see each student where they are and allow them to experience the teachings without bias. My personal experience was transformational in a way I could have never imagined. The relationship I have formed with the practice, myself and others I cherish and can never go unseen. JH-YTT was a life-changing experience filled with teachings and unexpected friendships that I will carry with me forever. So thankful to have trusted the process.”

“Yoga…a posture practice that I have done “on and off” for years that turns into a daily practice during a global pandemic.  My definition of yoga was isolated to the movements and “poses” with a veiled awakening to the deeper meaning and benefits as I notice that dedication and focus start to improve mood, clarity of mind and how my body feels.  I decided to enter the Jane’s House of Well-Being Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) 200-hour course during a transitional period, with the primary goal of deepening my knowledge of poses and getting to more “advanced postures.”  What I came away with months later was so much more!!!

The course is an intense, in-depth approach to all 8 limbs of Yoga.  The self-inquiry and observation are just the start of the transformational process.  Inner/Outer Observances, Philosophy, Anatomy, Functional Movement, Alignment, Ancient Languages, Breath-Work, Meditation, Vinyasa Krama (oh and Postures!) are just the tip of the learning journey.  Within the first few months, the Jane’s House of Well-Being YTT content was transformational and delightfully FUN!

Where I started was not where I ended, and by my certification I realized, this is just the beginning.  My initial (and in hindsight limited) goals of the course were far surpassed by the knowledgeable teachers, thoughtful construction, and delivery of course content, practice teachings in every aspect of Yoga, caring teachers/students, and support by the entire community at Jane’s House.  Within months, I began sharing the experience and teachings with others on a path of service, health, and overall well-being!”
