Teacher Training and Continuing Education Programs at Jane’s House

Teaching as Transformation

Jane's House Studio opened in January 2002 with a mission to serve others and guide them toward holistic living. Twenty-four years later, that heartbeat remains strong.

In 2005, we became a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance and offered our first 200-hour Teacher Training. Since then, our founder Robin deepened her studies in Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy, and Reflexology, as her passion for learning evolved naturally into a passion for training teachers.

Our Lineage

Our school honors the teachings of Tirumalai Krishnamacharya and T.K.V. Desikachar, known as fathers of modern yoga. Their core principles guide everything we do:

  • Yoga is personal and accessible to all

  • Practice unfolds through Vinyasa Krama, an intelligent step-by-step process

  • Right relationship is the classroom where transformation happens

Our Approach

We teach action and inquiry as inseparable. Posture practice becomes an entry point for observing the mind. Observation opens self-inquiry, which then informs action.

Our teachers learn to teach by refining their own practice. They discover how to meet each body where it is, addressing both functionality and vitality. They learn the ethical foundation of yoga as a lifestyle, not just a physical practice.

Because our teaching is rooted in authentic relationship, its impact is transformational.

The Educational Experience

Since 2005, our teachers have shown up fully in body, mind, and heart. They commit to themselves, the practice, and their education. They stay in open dialogue, especially when challenges arise.

If you are considering any of our educational programs, expect to be a completely different person by the end, and yet, more of who you truly are. You will learn to teach asana, pranayama, and meditation creatively within Vinyasa Krama guidelines, with full freedom to express the teachings as they uniquely live within you.

Our programs and courses are a labor of love and sincere offering of the heart. Our lives have been transformed by yoga, and our deepest desire is to share these teachings from a place of service.
